Apply for membership

Anyone may apply for themselves or nominate someone else. You do not need to be an existing member.

Membership remains subject to the relevant eligibility requirements and Society approval.

Before you apply

Choose Full, Affiliate, Trainee, Corresponding, Honorary, Retired or Life membership. NZSOHNS will confirm the appropriate category and admission process. SET trainees enter the Trainee category; existing Full or Affiliate members may request Retired status when they stop active practice.

For categories requiring election, nomination by two Full Members is required. You can submit before arranging support and ask the Society for help.

Complete your application

Provide the applicant’s contact details, any supporting-member details already arranged, and the submitter’s name and email. Acknowledgement of receipt does not confirm membership.
